President Approves 84 Mentioned-in-Despatches to Armed Forces Personnel: President Smt Droupadi Murmu has approved 84 Mentioned-in-Despatches for Armed Forces personnel, including 10 posthumous mentions. The recipients include 68 from the Army, recognizing their contributions to various operations. Additionally, 16 mentions are for outstanding service in the Indian Air Force. This prestigious recognition acknowledges the commendable efforts and sacrifices made by these personnel in the line of duty.
President Approves Gallantry Awards to 80 Armed Forces Personnel: President Smt Droupadi Murmu has approved Gallantry awards for 80 Armed Forces personnel, including 12 posthumous awards. The honors include six Kirti Chakras, 16 Shaurya Chakras, 53 Sena Medals, one Nao Sena Medal (Gallantry), and four Vayu Sena Medals (Gallantry). These awards celebrate acts of exceptional bravery and selfless service to the nation, showcasing the indomitable spirit of our Armed Forces.
Additional Defence Decorations: In addition to the gallantry awards, President Smt Droupadi Murmu has approved 311 defence decorations for Armed Forces and other personnel. These include Param Vishisht Seva Medals, Uttam Yudh Seva Medals, Ati Vishisht Seva Medals, Yudh Seva Medals, Sena Medals, Nao Sena Medals, Vayu Sena Medals, and Vishisht Seva Medals, recognizing excellence and devotion to duty across various services.
