Xiaomi launched its new compact Bluetooth speaker in India named as Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Speaker Basic 2 at Rs 1,799. The portable speaker supports Bluetooth 4.2 technology and said to offer 10 hours of playback time. Mi Bluetooth Speaker Basic 2 two 2.5W speakers that can produce high-fidelity sound over Bluetooth as well as analogue (AUX) connection with your phone, tablet, and PC among others. The Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Speaker Basic 2 will be available in White colour during the Xiaomi Diwali With Mi Sale.

Mi Bluetooth Speaker Basic 2 measures 154.5×60×25.5 mm and weighs 237 grams. It has dual speaker unit. In terms of design, Mi Bluetooth Speaker Basic 2 features a matte aluminium frame and chamfered edges.

The Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Speaker Basic 2 features a matte aluminium frame around with a white criss-cross pattern on the front, while the edges are chamfered. The Mi Bluetooth Speaker Basic 2 is equipped with an internal microphone that comes with noise reduction while taking calls. Users can press the power key for hands-free communication with reduced noise thanks to CVC. People can receive and answer phone calls without the need for switching devices or audio output.
The Mi Bluetooth Speaker Basic 2 is backed by a lithium polymer 1200mAh battery, that is rated to deliver up to 10 hours of continuous music playback. It can pick up sound in a frequency range from 2402MHz to 2480MHz. The speaker measures 154.5x60x25.5mm. “It’s highly portable and easy to carry one-handed or in a bag,” says the company.
Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Speaker Basic 2 is compatible with Android and iOS devices. It features a dedicated AUX port to enable people to play music via computers, phones, or MP3 players.
While Xiaomi is set to grow its foothold in India with its other product lines, it is also setting new records for its smartphones. Xiaomi recently said it has sold over 25 million smartphones in the country over a period of three years. The Chinese tech colossus is now set to launch its Mi MIX 2 bezel-less smartphone in India soon.
