Moto E4 Plus Launched in India at ₹ 9,999, With 5000mAh Battery and 3GB of RAM

Most awaited smartphone Moto E4 Plus finally launched in India on Wednesday, in an event in New Delhi. The highlight of this new Moto E4 Plus smartphone is its huge 5,000 mAh battery. New Moto E4 Plus is priced at Rs 9,999 and the smartphone will be exclusively available on Flipkart and sale starts at 11:59 PM.

Alongside, the company confirmed the offline launch of the Moto E4 in India, priced at Rs. 8,999 and this phone has a 2,800 mAh battery. The Moto E4 Plus was unveiled globally at a price of $179.99 (roughly Rs 11,600).

As we know, the big highlight of the Moto E4 Plus smartphone is its 5000mAh battery. It sports a metal back with a circular camera frame and antenna lines. There are a Motorola batwing logo and a speaker grille also situated at the back of the smartphone. On the design front, Moto E4 Plus now sports a metal body and has a huge, prominent round camera on the back. There are thin antenna lines at the back of the phone. The fingerprint scanner is embedded in the pill shaped button on the front. This isn’t technically the home button, though you have the option to make this the default one in the settings on the phone.

The Moto E4 Plus smartphone has a Home Button on the front of the fingerprint sensor packed underneath, and the volume and power keys are both situated on the right edge of the smartphone. The 3.5mm audio jack is seen residing on top and the Moto E4 Plus also has a water repellent nano-coating. The company is touting the One Key Nav feature on the fingerprint sensor.

Motorola new device, Moto E4 Plus smartphone price in India is Rs. 9,999. The smartphone has been launched in its 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant in India. The company has also announced the launching offers for the prospective buyers of the new device.

Moto E4 Plus specifications

The Moto E4 Plus runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and sports a 5.5-inch HD 720×1280 pixels display with 2.5D curved glass on top. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK6737M SoC paired with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone offers 32GB of internal storage options as well – with the option to expand via microSD card (up to 128GB). The company is touting the presence of a dedicated microSD card slot.

As for the optics, the Moto E4 Plus sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, autofocus, and single-LED flash support. At the front, there is a 5-megapixel camera with a f/2.2 aperture with fixed focus and supported with LED flash. The front camera is capable of capturing photos in HDR. It is capable of recording videos in 720p @30fps. Another highlight of the smartphone is support for Dolby ATMOS.

The biggest USP of the Moto E4 Plus is its 5000mAh non-removable battery that supports fast charging as well with 10W rapid charger. The company says that the battery is good enough to last up to two days on a single charge. The battery is supported with Motorola’s rapid charging technology. Although it is the first smartphone from the Lenovo-backed company to boast a massive battery. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Micro-USB port, GPS, Bluetooth v4.1, and 4G support. The dimensions measure at 155×77.5×9.55mm, and the smartphone weighs 181 grammes. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.

At the given price, the closest competitor is the Nubia N2, which is also powered by a 5,000mAh battery that is claimed to offer up to 12 hours of web browsing, 60 hours of voice calls, 41.5 hours of music, 11 hours of video streaming or 8.4 hours of gaming with one time complete charge.

Moto E4 Plus features a design similar to Moto G5 series smartphones. Motorola has now made the Moto C, Moto C Plus as the budget smartphone series in India. Moto E4 Plus sports a metal unibody design, and antenna bands run on top and bottom of the rear of the device. The home button in Moto E4 Plus includes the fingerprint scanner.
