ZTE’s online brand Nubia has today announced a Nubia M2 series smartphone, which is dubbed as Nubia M2 Play in India. The Nubia M2 Play smartphone is priced Rs 8,999 in India and it will be available for purchase exclusively on Amazon India. The big highlights of the smartphone are its 4GVoLTE capabilities, fingerprint scanning support, and Android Nougat software. The Nubia M2 Play comes in Black with Gold color.
Nubia M2 Play Specifications
The smartphone is a watered down version of the Nubia M2 but is a little better endowed than the Nubia M2 Lite smartphone. The Nubia M2 Play looks similar to the Nubia M2 Lite with a metal body, curved glass, and a single camera setup at the back. There’s a home button in the front with the fingerprint scanner placed underneath. The volume keys are on the left edge while the power keys are on the right edge of the smartphone.
The Nubia M2 Play sports 5.5-inch 720×1280 pixels) LCD display with 274ppi pixel density covered with 2.5D curved glass. It houses a fingerprint sensor below the home screen button, which is surrounded by capacitive navigation keys. The phone runs the Android Nougat operating system covered under Nubia UI 5.0 theme. It sports a 13-megapixel camera at the back and a 5 MP selfie on at the front. It is powered by an octa-core(4 cores at 1.4GHz and 4 cores at 1.1GHz) Snapdragon 435 SoC paired with a 3GB RAM and Adreno 505 GPU. The smartphone offers 32GB of internal storage with the option to expand further via microSD card (up to 128GB).
At 7.9 mm, the Nubia M2 Play is one of the slimmest smartphones in the budget category.
The Nubia M2 Play has a rear camera of 13-megapixels with LED Flash, Sony CMOS sensor, Hybrid focus (PDAF + CAF), f/2.2 aperture. At the front, there is a 5-megapixel sensor for selfies with f/2.4 aperture and 84-degree wide angle. Besides, the smartphone offers Hybrid Dual SIM, 4G LTE with VoLTE support, micro USB port, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS/GLONASS support and 3.5mm audio jack.
The Nubia M2 Play smartphone will compete with Xiaomi Redmi 4, Moto C Plus, Micromax Yu Yureka Black and Asus Zenfone Live.
