Indian domestic smartphone brand Micromax launched its selfie-focused Micromax Selfie 3 smartphone with 16-Megapixel front Camera in India at Rs 11,999. Micromax Selfie 2 smartphone was launched in July this year and not waiting very long, the company has now introduced the sequel – the Selfie 3. The new smartphone will be available starting September 22 across retail stores. At this price, the handset competes with Nubia N2 and Vivo 66, both of which also offer the 16MP front camera.
Micromax Selfie 3 Features
Micromax Selfie 3 features a 5-inch FHD screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. It supports a fingerprint scanner as well. The battery is a 3000 mAh one, which is said to offer a standby time of up to 250 hours and a talk time of up to 11 hours. It supports Bluetooth version 4.2. Micromax Selfie 3 runs Android Nougat and comes with features like voice search, Google Drive, Hangouts for video calls, smart contact prioritisation, and more. The connectivity options offered by the handset include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.2.
The Micromax Selfie 3 sports a 16-megapixel Samsung sensor, tagged with selfie flash at the front for taking selfies. The company says that the incorporation of selfie flash ensures that the users don’t get unnatural images that usually come with the regular flash. The company has also added a beauty mode to allow users with more options while clicking images from the front camera. At the rear end, the handset comes with a 13-megapixel Sony sensor.
“The device supports Auto Scene Detection which analyses the type of scene and shooting conditions you’re photographing and then automatically provides the users with options to select the best settings. It also has a Portrait mode, HDR Mode, Night Mode that will make your each photo perfect in any mode,” the company said in its release.
