LG Q6+ has been launched in India, and it will be available across retail outlets at Rs 17,990. Much like the LG Q6, the LG Q6+ also brings the premium features at affordable price. The difference between the LG Q6+ and the LG Q6 is minor, with the former bearing more RAM (4GB) and inbuilt storage (64GB), compared to the latter’s 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. LG is offering one-time free screen replacement within 6 months. Unlike the Q6 which was an Amazon India exclusive, the Q6+ will be available for buying from physical retail stores across the country, in as many as two colours: Astro Black and Ice Platinum.

The interesting bit about the Q6 is also that this phone comes without a fingerprint scanner. Instead, it has sensors that offer facial recognition feature that could be used to unlock the device. Sounds familiar? Well, that is because this is the same feature that we recently saw in the iPhone X, a top Apple phone launched on October 12. Now, this is a very Apples to Oranges comparison. The Q6+ and the iPhone X are not even in the same league or same products. Although, on paper, the Q6+ does have the iPhone X-like features — the edge-to-edge display, facial recognition — that may help it stand apart in the crowded mainstream phone market.
