Chinese smartphone giant Gionee Phones on Tuesday announced the launch of the Gionee X1s smartphone in India. The Gionee X1s is the successor in the X series after the Gionee X1, which was launched in August. Gionee X1s device will be available across all retail stores in India at a price of Rs 12,999 from September 21. The new device comes with a fingerprint sensor, a larger battery capacity, three individual slots for SIM and storage, and a selfie-focused camera. The smartphone will be available in Black and Gold colors.
Gionee X1s Offers
The new X1s gets similar launch offers as the Gionee X1. Airtel customers buying the smartphone can get up to 10GB additional data per month for up to 6 months successively recharges of 1GB or more. Separately, buyers will get two Patym cashback voucher codes entitling them to Rs. 250 cashback on a minimum purchase of Rs. 350 on Paytm Mall.
Gionee X1s Features
Apart from a new rear speaker grille on the bottom side, the X1s looks identical to the X1. Dual SIM Gionee X1s sports a slightly larger 5.2-inch 720p HD IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a metallic design. As compared with X1, the device is powered by a 1.5GHz 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It will be offered with just 16GB of internal storage with the expandability feature via microSD card up to 256GB. The smartphone runs on Amigo 4.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat. The Gionee X1s packs a larger 4000mAh battery compared to the 3000mAh inside the X1.

The Gionee X1s comes with separate slots for the microSD and two SIM cards and a fingerprint sensor which the company claims can unlock the phone in just 0.3 seconds. The X1s combines IR remote and flash together to help control home devices. The smartphone also sports a split screen.
Gionee X1s offers a 13MP rear camera and 16MP selfie camera accompanied with selfie flash. The fingerprint sensor not only unlocks the phone but also stabilizes selfies claims the company. The selfie camera also has Beautified Video and Face Beauty 2.0 enhancements. The X1s combines IR remote and flash together to help control home devices. The smartphone also sports a split screen.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Micro-USB port.
