Domestic smartphone brand Lava on Thursday silently launched a new budget smartphone, Lava Z60, in India at a price of Rs. 6,499. New Lava Z60 main highlights are Android 7.0 Nougat and come with a ‘Bokeh Mode’. Lava Z60 has been launched by the company in Gold and Black colours.

Lava Z60 supports dual-SIM runs the company’s own Star OS 4.1 UI based on Android 7.0 Nougat and sports a 5-inch FWVGA 480×854 pixels IPS display with a pixel density of 196ppi. The device is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737M processor clocked at 1.1GHz coupled with 1GB RAM and 16GB of built-in storage, which is expandable by up to 32GB via micro SD card.
On the camera front, Lava Z60 has a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with Beauty, Bokeh, Funny Cam, Templates and a same 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. Both the cameras feature LED flash.
As mentioned earlier, the company says that it is offering ‘Bokeh Mode’ feature with the smartphone, which allows users to blur the background to make their images look better. Notably, the smartphone users will be able to use this feature with images clicked through both front and rear cameras on the Lava Z60.
The device is powered by a 2500 mAh removable battery with Power Saver Mode which claims to offer 264 hours of standby time and 12 hours of talk time on the 3G network. Besides, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/AGPS, FM Radio, 3.5mm jack, USB 2.0, Ambient Light Sensor, G-Sensor, Proximity Sensor and additional features like Flip to Mute, Smart Gestures, Power Saver Mode. The handset measures 143.6 x 72.3 x 9.1mm and measures 149 grams.
