Indian smartphone brand Intex has launched a new budget smartphone Intex Aqua Lions 2 in India at the price of Rs 4,599. Intex latest smartphone interestingly comes after the launch of the Intex Aqua Lions 3 back in July. Like the predecessor, the new Intex Aqua Lions 2 also highlights 4G VoLTE support and Android 7.0 Nougat. The latest smartphone will be available via offline channels in Champagne Gold and Black colours. At this price point, the Intex Aqua Lions will compete against the likes of Xolo Era 1X, Sansui Horizon 3, Swipe Elite 3, Karbon Aura 4G and few of the company’s own handsets.
Intex Aqua Lions 2 Features
The Dual Sim Intex Aqua Lions 2 follows a similar look compared to the Aqua Lions 3. Intex Aqua Lions 2 has a 5-inch display with FWVGA 854 x 480 pixels resolution. Dimensions of the smartphone are 14.38 x 7.2 x 0.98 cm and It is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-core Spreadtrum SC9832 processor with Mali 400 GPU coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB onboard storage. The new Aqua Lions 2 runs on Android 7.0 OS. The smartphone also supports expandable storage with 64GB as the limit. It is backed by a 2400mAh battery and offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.

The Aqua Lions 2 features a 5-megapixel sensor on the back with autofocus and flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The handset packs a 2400mAh battery measures 143.8x72x8mm and weigh 158.3 grams. The smartphone comes with some pre-loaded features like Tap n Buy for shopping, Xender for easy contacts and file sharing, Amazon Prime Video and with a DataBack app that provides up to 500MB free data back to the users per month for free.
As far as the Aqua Lions series is concerned, the Aqua Lions 2 is cheaper compared to the Aqua Lions 4G and Aqua Lions 3 launched earlier this year at Rs. 5,499 and Rs. 6,499, respectively.
The company recently introduced 4G VoLTE smartphone dubbed as Aqua Lions 3. The phone sports a 5-inch HD IPS OnCell display. The phone runs on Android Nougat and powered with a 1.25GHz quad-core processor with 2GB RAM. There are a 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage that’s expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The Intex Aqua Lions 3 comes with a 4000mAh battery. The smartphone is available at Rs 6,499 selling across all retail and branded outlets.
