Taiwanese smartphone Maker has listed HTC U11 on India Website, seems set to launch in India soon. The listing, however, did not reveal the price of the forthcoming phone. Additionally, a tipster has claimed that the 6GB RAM, 128GB storage variant new flagship from HTC will make its way to the Indian market alongside eight other markets. Notably, the India site lists both 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage and 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage, but that can change ahead of launch.
HTC U11 smartphone was launched in Taiwan last month, and one of the biggest attraction of the device is its Edge Sense feature which promises to bring a complete new way of interaction with the device.
Also, the HTC U11 has both Google Assistant and Alexa support for the United States, the UK and Germany, which both work with the Edge Sense functionality.
According to reports, the HTC U11 will be going on sale in nine countries including China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Hong Kong, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Philippines. LlabTooFeR also claims that these countries will get the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of the HTC U11.
HTC U11 Features
It will be made available in Amazing Silver, Sapphire Blue, Brilliant Black, Ice White, and Solar Red colour options, and has been promised to go on sale in several markets starting this month. Pricing starts at EUR 749 (roughly Rs. 53,000) for Europe, and in the US at $749 (roughly Rs. 48,000), where itโs up for pre-order. Some of the highlights of the HTC U11 were the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, its liquid surface design, and multiple AI assistants.
For specifications, the HTC U11 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with the companyโs HTC Sense skin on top, and supports dual-SIM cards (Nano-SIM). It features a 5.5-inch Quad HD (1440ร2560 pixels) Quad HD 2K Super LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.ย The design also includes 3D glass on both front and rear to essentially make the device feel more secure and comfortable to hold.
The latest and one of the fastest chips currently on the market โ Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC powers the device.
HTC has also introduced what it calls the UltraSpeed focus along with a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual-pixel autofocus, f/1.7 aperture, OIS and electronic stabilisation with ultra-spread autofocus, BSI sensor, OIS, f/1.7 aperture, dual-LED flash, slow-motion, and 4K video recording. HTC is also introducing Auto HDR Boost which will provide the benefits of a HDR camera sans the lag. The 16-megapixel selfie camera has been optimised for taking snaps in low light and comes with a wide-angle lens. It also has a Selfie Panorama mode.
HTC U11 doesn not have a standard 3.5-mm jack and features a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, and Beidou on board.
HTC U11 also comes with USonic Boomsound Hi-Fi Edition speakers. The company is also bundling a pair of noise cancelling headphones in the box.
The U11 has a water resistant design with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 2000GB via a microSD card. .
The phone packs a 3,000 mAh battery, which supports Qualcommโs Quick Charge 3.
