FiiO, a brand well known for building and selling quality audio products, has just announced the launch of the second generation EX1 in-ear monitors.
The company claims that these new earbuds are better tuned for vocals and a “better-sounding presentation of human voices,” when compared to the previous generation.
In terms of design and build, the device will be placed in a metal housing made of aluminium alloy and steel. It’s also available in a new, shiny, black finish.
The drivers are apparently made from titanium in an attempt to make them lighter. This is what is contributing to the better voice reproduction, says FiiO.
The set comes with an in-line remote and mic. It houses three buttons, two for volume and one for controlling the music.
The cable itself is made of polyurethane and FiiO promises that it is tough and sturdy, while still being light.
The connector is an L-shaped plug that is gold-plated, not that it matters.
In terms of raw numbers, the set has a frequency response of 20 Hz to 40 kHz, uses 13 mm drivers, has 16 ohms of impedance, offers a sensitivity of 98 dB/mW. The cord is 120 cm long and the entire unit is supposed to weigh just 18 g.
You get a pouch with the device, along with a clip and an assortment of ear buds.
The device is available on the FiiO India store at Rs 4,299.
